Els Niehaus, MSF
I have seen such diverse teams in no-time becoming very functional and self-organizing. Members hailed from Asia, the US, the UK and Europe – yet after their initiation, they all spoke one language. Mutual understanding between colleagues sitting at the other end of the functional or cultural spectrum quickly led to the most optimal solution.
Some we already know and do. We put up visuals, try to break down functional walls, issue reports and do morning calls. But melting this to a coherent approach is best done by experts who add their technical, social and creative skills to the mix and get the best out of a multi-functional, multi-cultural team. Zak’s participative approach, his expertise and concern for people, has given the team a common sense of ownership, direction and accomplishment. With measurable results.
